Sun Dried Tomato Asparagus Pizza Bread

Oh man, oh man, oh man.

This bread is RIDICULOUS.

See the cute rolling pin? Got that for Christmas.  {Thanks Ma!}  And I really wanted to use it, but I typically don’t have the patience for dough making. It’s fun but mi full time schedule sucks up all mi hours in mi day.  Here’s the trick – Whole Foods has Pizza Dough in the refrigerated section. Say whaaaaa.
All you gotta do is set it out of the fridge for an hour so it plumps up a bit. Then it’s go time.


  • Buy Whole Foods Pizza Dough
  • Split the dough in half  (put one away in the fridge for later or make two pizzas)
  • Roll it out real niiice with flour and rolling pin and music and dancing.
  • Put it on a Stoneware pizza pan. Because Pampered Chef rules.
  • Preheat the oven so it’s hot hot hot.  450 degrees.
  • Mix 1 TBSP pesto & 1 TBSP (heaping) olive oil & 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Spread it on the dough
  • Top with Mozzarella Cheese
  • Top that with Sun Dried Tomatoes
  • Top that with about 15 baby asparagus (after you’ve grilled them on the stove with butter or oil)
  • Salt entire pizza.
  • Fresh ground pepper that thing


Then, place it in the oven for 12 minutes.
Then, it comes out lookin’ like this.
Then, cowabunga.

Yooou should consider pairing your finished product with a subtle Rosato wine or a crisp Pinot Grigio.  Perché il vino è delizioso!
