Dark Chocolate Bark with Pistachio & Dried Cherry

One of my patients this week told me that she does not like chocolate. I told her we couldn’t be friends.

I think she thought I was joking.

Anyway, I’ve got to share with you, a fancy treat I made last week! This is what it entails:  melting chocolate, sprinkling it with your fav’s, and letting it set.

It took maybe 8 minutes total to make this.

  • parchment paper
  • 1 package Ghirardelli 60% dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistaccios  (raw or salted)
  • 2/3 cup chopped dried cherries

Melt your chocolate in the microwave in 20-30 sec segments, so you don’t burn it. Stir between sets.

Spread the creamy melted chocolate on your parchment paper.

Sprinkle the pistachios and cherries. (since my pistachios were raw, I sprinkled on a tiny pinch of celtic salt too)

Set it aside to dry for a few hours. I let mine sit overnight.  You want it to be really hard before you break it apart.

The most difficult part of this whole ordeal is waiting for the bark to harden so you can eat it:)
Tis a chocolaty heavenly morsel of cocoa delight!  Enjoy, friends!
