Over the past week, I made a new smoothie almost every day in my Vitamix. I would write down my specific ingredients and detailed measurements, give half to Andy, and wait for those 10 beautiful words.
“This is the best green smoothie I have ever had.”
Well folks. It happened. Yesterday.
From a guy who had not been introduced to spinach inside a smoothie until, moi:)
And after all that holiday crap we ate last month, it’s about time to cleanse the ol’ bod.
So you should know, this recipe is dairy free, gluten free, vegan, detoxifying, and any other healthy adjectives you can think of. (insert thumbs up emoji, here)
- 1 cup (packed) fresh spinach leaves
- 1 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/2 banana
- juice from 1/2 of a lemon
- 1/2 green apple
- 1/3 avacado
- 1 cup rice milk *or almond milk
- 1 TBSP flax meal
- 12-15 raw almonds (optional – we both loved the extra crunch)
It’s gonna be pretty green and it’s gonna make you feel real niiiice. That’s all I know.
