On this fine Brooklyn morning, I woke up before my alarm. WHY.
Although quite unfortunate, the sun beams lit up our bedroom, and I knew it was going to be a good day.
I put my hair in a bun, slipped on the flip flops, and went out to the corner grocery store. Which, lucky for me, is literally across the street!
Life’s been such a hustle lately, I haven’t used my oven more than once since moving into the apartment. I just wanted to bake some warm biscuits to have with our coffee. But as I strolled past the specialty cheese selection, there it was.. MASCARPONE.
Now, the last time I had mascarpone was in the icing of our Tiramisu wedding cake.. which people still remember 3 years later :) It was magnificent.
So yea, I put that in my grocery cart.
The biscuits were like pre-made little bakeable things you lay on a baking sheet and leave in the oven for 10 minutes. It’s not called “lazy”, it’s called a “resourceful, time-limitation-al decision”. Whatever biscuit selection you choose, I support you:)
Mascarpone cheese is a rich Italian cheese from the Lombardi region. It has a butter-like consistency…high in fat, extremely creamy, and a subtle smooth flavor. Sign me up!
Open that warm biscuit, spread the cheese, and drop some blueberry or blackberry jam on top.
It was a perfect way to start the day. Happy Wednesday, my friends!
