I’m late to this train, but my hairstylist + friend recently revealed to me this wonder of wonders.
COFFEE + COCONUT OIL.
This is not revolutionary..if you’ve heard of “bullet proof coffee”, it’s very similar.
Short synopsis>>> Coconut Oil is a medium-chain triglyceride (unlike long-chain in meat, cheese, etc) basically this means it bypasses fat cells + gets immediately processed as energy (healthy buzz!), increases metabolic rate, + is one of the best ‘fat’ sources for your brain. Unlike fats that cause weight gain, it is ironically a fat-burning-fat. 🙌🏼
I’ve always used it on my skin + hair + cooking, but now it’s my morning non-guilty pleasure + SO YUMMY.
STEP 1: brew coffee. One full coffee mug (10-12 oz) is all you’ll need.
STEP 2: add approx 1-2 teaspoons coconut oil to your hot cup of joe. Some people do a full TBSP. Go for it, it’s good for you! ( **buy organic cold pressed unrefined..that’s important! )
STEP 3: **optional! add 1 tsp honey (Andy likes it this way)
STEP 3: Mix in a blender for about 20 seconds
A caffeine high from superfood! Beat that. Embrace your energy + kickstart your day with this magic!
