In the summer heat, all I want in the world is something cold cold cold. ICE please!
I’ve been frequenting a park nearby our apartment. It’s right by the East River, and it has a playground with sprinklers for children, which I must say, is a swell ‘soundtrack’ while laying on a blanket with a book. But that sun, my goodness. It cooks!
Although I have yet to run through the sprinklers myself, I do keep a bottle of ice water with me to drink. (or wear).
Better yet, when I came home from the park yesterday, Raspberry Lemon Iced Tea happened. Hey, heat can be inspirational.
As the saying goes, “Necessity is the mother of invention.”
I thought it was Einstein, but turns out Plato said that.
We’ll call this our philoso-food for the day.
K! Here’s how to make this refreshingly gulpable beverage.
